When many of us hear a faint ringing in our ears from time-to-time we usually think nothing of it. It often goes away and we don’t have another passing thought until we notice it again at some point in the future.
Have you ever gone to a concert then left and everything sounds foggy, like there’s something blocking the passage in your ears? Well imagine if that’s the degree of ringing in your ears you constant had? That is what’s known as Tinnitus. It’s a serious condition that can be brought on by three different causes, but the most popular cause is Cochlear Damage (aka inner ear damage).
If you suffer from tinnitus caused by Cochlear Damage then chances are you work a job where you’re exposed to constant loudness and do not wear proper ear protection or you participate in some form of activity such as practicing firearms, riding loud motorcyles or other loud ATV and don’t take proper precautions for your hearing.
You see our hearing is very similar to our eyes. Once we lose the vision we can’t get it back. Hearing is the same way
once you’ve lost it there isn’t any way to get it back.
Taking precautions when listening to loud music, working in an environment that has loud machinery or equipment as well as not using MP3 players or other ear phone devices too loudly in our ears is important.
While there are some Tinnitus remedies there are no known cures for the condition. So it’s important that you take precautions to avoid the causes.
The other two less likely causes of Tinnitus are sinus troubles as well as stress induced Tinnitus. While it is possible to treat Tinnitus caused by stress and sinus issues usually these two will run their course once you remove the stress from your life or heal the sinus condition.
